Our Approach
Transforming production and consumption requires a clear understanding of how policies affect people’s lives and how people respond to them.
This lens examines:
- Public attitudes towards climate change and net zero
- Perceptions of fairness and trust in institutions
- How people engage with policies as citizens, consumers, workers and community members
While concern about climate change is high, support for specific policies depends on:
- Cost and affordability
- Clarity and ease of action
- Trust in government and institutions
- Perceived fairness
We also address a key challenge: the ‘perception gap’ between public attitudes and policymakers’ assumptions about them.
